Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place is an old Hindu temple and is the declaration to be one of the 5 temples of Mahabharata days in Delhi. The graven image in the temple devotionally worshiped as ″Sri Hanuman Ji Maharaj″, is that of Bala Hanuman namely, Hanuman as a child. The temple, which has a self-evident idol of Hanuman, has an extraordinary feature fixed in the spire (Viman) in the form of a curved shape moon (an Islamic symbol) instead of the Hindu symbol of Aum or Sun that is remarkably seen in most Hindu temples.
The city of Delhi was the seat of power for many dynasties. Some other Hindu Temples, where symbol above the spire (vimana) is more remarkably an om or Sun sign, this temple has a curved shape moon symbol (an Islamic symbol) in the vimana. This semilunar symbol is thought to have saved this temple from destruction from Mughal attacks.
Shivaji Stadium Metro Station and Rajiv Chowk Metro Station are the nearest metro station and both are located around 500 meters away from the Temple. Shivaji Stadium Metro Station is located on Delhi Airport express line and ticket fairs are comparatively higher than Normal Metro services. Visitors reached theirs via city Bus service, Cab, etc. Finding parking in CP is a tough task especially in evening hours. If you planning to visit the temple, Public transport (Delhi Metro) is the best option to reach here.

The excellent architecture shows not just the skill of Indian artisans but also speaks of our heritage. Many of the works in the temple have been done by precise mathematical calculations based on our religious texts. Not only is the temple complex a heaven of peace and enlightenment, but also the gardens, galleries, exhibition, boat ride add to the overall experience.
